Description

Late 19th.c. French gilt frame mirror c.1870. Original 22½" x 34" mirror plate within a gilded frame with distinctive rippled surface. Original gilding attractively worn to reveal the red ground and gesso base below. Minor tarnish to the mirror. Original backboards. Could be hung either landscape or portrait aspect.
