A fine and decorative gilt wall mirror. The mirror is Neoclassical in design in the Georgian taste. The simple rectangular frame is beautifully complimented by swags of flowers draped across the top, united in the centre by a ribbon tied in a bow. The mirror frame is in excellent condition retaining the original slightly worn gilding. There have been some minor pieces of restoration which have been done very well are go unnoticed. The mirror plate is the original, in very good condition with some very slight areas of deterioration to the silvering. The whole is the most wonderfully simple and elegant gilt mirror and is ready to hang. C.1890.
