ANTIQUE #SA1029027

A Set Of Eight Mahogany Ship's Armchairs, From A British Ocean Liner C.1920

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Jeckyll & Co

First Class travel in the Roaring ''20''s when Britain ruled the waves!

Each chair with integral strut to the underside to secure it to the deck in heavy seas. The chairs are variously numbered on the rails up to the 200''s and including 33*

Condition: Generally good and well-presented. A few areas of surface scratching, one top rail has been re-glued (see image), but no losses to the timber, the seats have the odd isolated blemish.

* I''ve always thought 33 was a lucky number, but according to an exponent of numerology as well as being a Master Number it is also ''a powerhouse of creative energy''.
