Set of 8 Wylie & Lockhead of Glasgow Dining Chairs

Description

Circa 1860. A quality set of 8 mahogany mid-Victorian Scottish balloon back dining chairs. The curved and shaped top rail with a carved lower rail, the chairs with a large stuff over seat with a beading beneath, back legs are square and slightly out swept and front legs are turned, ring turned and tapering. The underside of one of the chairs is stamped with item number and the name ‘Wylie and Lockhead of Glasgow.’
