Stunning 19th century French gilt cherub mirror.

It dates from around 1830.

It has its gorgeous real gilt (gold leaf) and bare gesso frame, including its beautiful ornate crest with 2 gesso cherubs and a piece of original oval mercury mirror. It also has lovely scrolls on either side at the bottom. There are no chips.

It has its lovely original antique very heavy mercury glass with no scratches. Mercury glass dates the mirror to before 1840, as after this time it was no longer used. Mercury glass is hard to find and gives a sparkle and reflection like no other!

It has its original pine backboards.
