Pair of Antique Swedish Neoclassical Armchairs

Description

An absolutely stunning pair of antique Swedish neoclassical armchairs. They were recently imported from Sweden, they date from around the 1890-1910 period.

The quality is outstanding, they are beautifully made from satin birch and have fine ormolu mounts. The armrests have finely cast brass depictions of pharaohs, the chairs sit on beautifully out swept sabre shaped legs.

We have had the frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, they have been fully re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is superb throughout for their age. There is just one incredibly minor bit of ormolu detail missing from the back rest, barely perceptible but seen in the close up images.
