Large Pier Glass Mirror Gillows

19th century
Description

This is an elegant walnut and parcel gilt mirror of great scale by Waring and Gillows in excellent original condition. The mirror, in George III style, has a classic fret cut design with scrolled pediment and a fantastic gilded eagle. This piece is in exceptional condition; it has a wonderful patina to the wood and it has its original mercury mirror plate also in good condition. The mirror is a great size measuring 124 cms by 59 cms and gives dramatic impact to a room.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
