The mahogany wall mirror frame is decorated with a gilt painted “Hoho” bird pediment, flanked by a finely pierced mahogany fretwork frame; the design of which was typical of Chippendale styling. The frame retains the original bevelled edge mirror, which is also in excellent condition. The Chippendale style wall mirror is bordered by a gilt colour frame and the underside displays a boxwood marquetry shell shaped motif. The mahogany wall mirror measures 3ft High x 1ft 8½” wide.

Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian Chippendale style wall mirror, constructed during the late Victorian period, from mahogany and decorated with gilt colour detail and fine fretwork detail, circa 1890, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks, to the leading edges of the frame, but nothing significant, given the age of the item. The bevelled edge mirror is in excellent original condition. The mahogany frame fretwork carvings are all good original condition.
