Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Originally made and from the North West of England around 1840, they are all in superb, strong condition and have the original rush seats which are also in excellent condition. They are a comfortable mode featuring a single turned horizontal bar to the back rest and they stand on well turned front legs. Perfect dining height, ideal for a country kitchen. They do have, if required, cream and white gingham cushioned tie on seat pads.
