Imposing early 19th century French gilt mirror in superb condition.
It dates from around 1830.
It has its original very heavy mercury glass with lovely light foxing in places but still gives a clear reflection. Mercury glass is increasingly hard to find and was not used after 1840.
It has its gorgeous gilt frame with beautiful gilt on gesso detail including its lovely ornate floral corners. There are no chips.
It has all its original backboards. (Photo to follow).
It would make a fantastic hall mirror or even overmantel.
In the photos it is standing portrait but could just as easily be hung landscape.
