A substantial 19th century mahogany and brass campaign writing slope.
The slope has brass corners and straps with working lock and key. A neat brass plaque to the top reads ''Ann Bond''. The slope has a drawer that is opened via a pin to the interior left. The box itself opens to reveal a plush purple velvet interior with compartments to the fore and underneath each side of the slope.
There are signs of wear throughout with some marking to the mahogany in areas and knocks to extremities. The box nonetheless remains extremely striking being of great colour and proportion.
