Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
These are very decorative with their shaped frames and lions paw feet, but also they are pretty well unrestored, so they have a very original look to them…they are cleaned, but haven’t been polished or reupholstered…but can be if you would prefer them to be.
The upholstery is well worn and mar ked, but I rather liked them as they are now, so have left them but they can be fully reupholstered in your own choice of fabric if you would prefer.
Good solid frames, the hip joints hinge smoothly, sturdy to sit on.
