Mid-victorian Mahogany Desk Chair

19th century
Description

Circa 1860. A mid Victorian mahogany and upholstered desk chair. Mahogany framed back with a deep button insert with the original fabric, arms supported on shaped uprights on a solid scooped and shaped seat, back legs square and slightly put swept, front legs bulbous turned and tapering with crinoline stretchers at the front, bracing the back with two turned stretchers, finishing on a brass cup and brass castors beneath.
