A glorious chinoiserie open armchair, ebonised with gilt detail, in the Chinese Chippendale style. C.1900
With a curved top rail above a fretwork backrest centred with a painted panel, this chair is richly decorated with fine hand painted detail throughout the frame, it also retains its original caned seat.
Structurally sound and solid with minor loss to c-scroll quarter bracket, signs of sympathetic repairs to fretwork in places.
A traditional squab cushion can be made upon request if required.
