A Rare Set Of Three George III Scottish Laburnum Chairs, Estate Wright Made C.1800

Many Scottish estates grew laburnum specifically for making furniture, among them, and notably the 4th Duke of Atholl at Blair Castle.
 
Solid Scots laburnum frames, good overall condition, slight ''play'' between back and seat on one chair, and a small loss to the sapwood to the base of one back leg. Slight shrinkage to two of the pine seat frames at the back.
 
Seats and frames with corresponding numerals I-III.
