Set of 8 Regency / William IV Bar Back Mahogany Dining Chairs & Carver

A quality set of eight Regency / William IV period, mahogany dining chairs and carver, Circa 1830. Featuring beautifully figured mahogany bar back top rails. Carved spandrels. Drop-on upholstered seats covered in blush pink and gold coloured damask fabric. Raised on turned fluted front legs. The carver with scroll shaped open arms. Set comprises of 7 chairs and 1 carver armchair.

A high quality set of handsome chairs. In good condition. Cleaned and waxed, and ready for use.

Dimensions:

These chairs measure approximately 87 cm (34.25") tall, 44.5 cm (17.5") wide, and 51 cm (20") deep. The seat height is approximately 47.5 cm (18.75"). The carver measures approximately 87 cm (34.25") tall, 49.5 cm (19.5") wide, and 56 cm (22") deep. The seat height is approximately 47.5 cm (18.75").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. There is a very small amount of play in the joints of a couple of the chairs. Which is not noticeable when seated, and not enough to warrant any repair. This is just being noted for the record. There are some minor marks, blemishes and wear on the frames. No damage or significant signs of repairs. One chair is missing the prongs on the lower part of carved spandrels. The frames have good colour and polish throughout. The upholstery is structurally very sound. The upholstery covering damask does have a little wear but is quite presentable and still very serviceable. Very sturdy and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
