Pair of Antique Mahogany & Leather Carver Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

A smart and very well made pair of antique carver chairs in solid mahogany, with leather seats. They were made in England, and date from around the 1900-1910 period.

They are beautifully made and are of very fine quality. The pierced backs have lovely intricate carving with a wheat sheaf design, they sit on tapered legs with H stretcher bases. The leather upholstery has a beautiful patina, having just been revived by our leather restorer.

We have had these recently re-polished, they are in excellent condition for their age.

Depth – 23 inches , 58 cm

Height – 38 inches , 96 cm

Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
