Large Pierced Brass and Ebonized Flemish Mirror

19th century
Description

Circa 1870. Unusual and stylish ebonized and brass Flemish cushion shaped mirror. The arched top with embossed brass beneath and three small bevel edge mirrors, centered by a pierced and well decorated foliate brass panel, the large bevel edge mirror in an ebonized beaded slip with foliate cast brass beading, with four tapering mirrors to the outside, each with bevel edge glass with elaborate pierced brass spandrels on each corner. In excellent condition, with no foxing to any of the mirrors.
