This jewellery box is a sarcophagus shape, with mother-of-pearl and pewter inlay. The sides have ring carrying handles in rosewood and the inside has a compartment in the lid for letter storage. The jewellery tray has three lids which lift out with three open compartments to the front. There is more storage underneath. This piece stands on bun feet.
