Antique Coquilla Figural Snuff Box

18th century
Description

A late 1700s early 1800s coquilla nut snuff box. It is carved in the shape of a man with a carved coat with buttons, and a large expressive face. He is standing with both hands in his pockets.

The back of his coat is a hinged lid. Overall in good condition, a small repaired chip to one side the hinge and to the tip of one of his shoes.

It has a great colour and patina and full of character.

It measures 6cm h x 4cm w x 2.5cm d.
