ANTIQUE #SA984513

Twin Fusee, Bell Striking, London, Drop-dial Wall Clock.

£1,850    $2,338    €2,220
This is a beautiful quality, rosewood, drop-dial wall clock by Brockbanks of London. He is recorded in Loomes ''Clock Makers of the World'' as working in London in the early 19th Century.

The beautiful rosewood case retains it''s original French-polished finish and has a marvellous age related patina. An octagonal surround to the 12'' round dial and with glazed lenticle through which the pendulum can be seen working. It has inspection doors to the sides and a key lockable door to the underside.

The 8 day, twin-fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell with a lovely crisp strike. It has just been fully overhauled by our Bhi registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.

The 12'', white painted dial has black Roman numerals and is clearly signed with the makers name.

Bell striking wall clocks are quite rare and this is a classic example of these much sought after pieces.
