John Howkins Antiques has dated this French Kingwood Cocktail Cabinet to the 1920s.
The tambour front decorated with a marquetry basket of flowers set within rosewood banding and framed with further gilded mounts. The tambour lifts to a mirrored interior with adjustable plate glass shelf. The sliding lower doors having conforming marquetry inlay with mounts and open to a bottle storage area. The stiles have canted corners with kingwood cross banding between gilded beading and good cast corbels, the serpentine shaped sides having conforming floral marquetry and inlaid banding.The whole raised on a shaped plinth with very good short cabriole legs with gilded sabots.
