Here we have a rare and very beautiful 17th century William and Mary Olive wood oyster veneered lace box c1690. As you can see the box has superb colour and patina. There are beautiful oyster cut veneers to the top with stunning Boxwood inlay. There is a moulded edge and cross banded veneers to the sides. As is typical the carcass is Pine and there is an original working lock and key.. The interior has been beautifully and traditionally lined in Silk as it would have been in the 17th Century. The internal lining is probably late 19th century. A super example of these rare boxes in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 44 cm wide 33 cm deep 11 cm high.
