Large Louis Xvi Style Ormolu and Marble Clock Set

Description

A very impressive and good quality 19th century gilded ormolu Louis XVI style clock garniture. The pair of five branch candelabra supported by a pair of classical semi clad females, raised on white marble bases with garlands of flowers.

The clock having a cherub reading a book, the clock with an enamel face, Roman numerals, an eight day duration clock that strikes on the hour and half hour. A Cockerel to the right with further books, raised above a white marble base with ormolu floral drapes, raised on turned gilded feet.
