This fine engraved ‘gorge’ cased carriage clock was made in Paris circa 1860-80. The clock is in very original condition, the engraving is remarkably crisp and sharp with some of the original gilt in places and with a gilt ‘engine turned’ masked dial. Bevelled glass to all sides and a top glass to view the original Bi-metallic, jeweled silvered lever escapement . Push repeat and bell striking on the hour with alarm facility. The movement is completely original and serviced, cleaned and polished and sold with a full 24 month guarantee . The dial showing Roman numerals with the blued steel Breguet hands. This is one of the slightly larger sizes of ‘gorge’ case and is very pleasing ‘in hand’. Stamped with a B in a circle and numbered 2690.
