Satinwood & Ebony Striped Oval Tea Caddy 1780

Description

A stunning striped oval tea caddy in immaculate condition. Every single piece of inlay is complete and in a complete original condition. The stunning inlay is made from ebony and satinwood stripes all around with larger mahogany panels between them. Diagonal stripes to the lid which meet and aline with the stripes on the parallel sides. A brass handle to the lid. The interior comprises of two mahogany lids with ebony and satinwood inlay also. A truly spectacular caddy and a must to any collector. Dates to Georgian 1780 and comes with a fully functional lock and key.
