Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Czech Art Deco glass from the 1930s is noted for its sharp geometric forms, contrasting surface textures, and vibrant enamel decoration. Manufacturers in Bohemia combined modern abstract motifs with traditional techniques like glass etching, acid-cutting, and hand enamelling.

Pieces were typically mould-blown or pressed to create a crisp structural shape, followed by mechanical cutting or acid etching to create precise geometric patterns. Vitreous enamel pigments were then hand-applied to the surface and fired in a kiln to fuse permanently with the glass body.

Authentic pieces generally display thick, high-quality crystal glass, sharp hand-cut or etched edges, and enamel work with slight variations typical of hand finishing. Acid-stamped marks such as Made in Czechoslovakia or specific maker logos may be present near the base, though many decorative items were original trade exports left unbranded.

Place the vase on a polished wood sideboard, marble fireplace mantle, or glass side table where natural light can pass through the transparent sections. It serves as a strong graphic focal point alongside mid-century or minimalist furnishings.

Wash gently by hand using tepid water and mild liquid soap, avoiding abrasive sponges that could scratch surface enamel or etched detailing. Never place vintage art glass in a dishwasher or soak it for extended periods.
