Description

An unusual Tunbridge Ware 'puzzle' snuff box or sovereign holder.

 The box is made of rosewood with fourteen carved concentric circles centred by an inlaid  star roundel. The star roundel is made up of various different diamond shaped inlaid pieces of wood.

 One of the circlular roundels can be pushed in to release the box containing the snuff , sovereigns etc which then unscrews.It is an unusual piece of English Tunbridge Ware. 

Puzzle balls made in the Tunbridge area with the inlaid roundels are premium puzzle balls.

The ball measures approx 4cm w.
