Description

A fabulous English Artist's box made form Mahogany with a brass inlaid cartouche to the top and an attractive inlaid border.

The interior of the lid has a wonderful label in excellent condition - " Moist Colours & Materials For Illumination / Winsor & Newton, London ". This is an unusual example with the "moist" colours being in glass jars, I haven't had this type before.

There is also a ceramic palette and brush rest to the front and a glass water jar fitted into the interior too.

A super and highly collectible box complete with working key, measuring 11 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 2 1/4" tall.
