Description

A very high class music box by DUCOMMUN GIROD of Geneva, Switzerland.

SERIAL NO 15396.

The movement being immaculately clean and in full working order.

The drop down end enclosing the key wound arbours makes this an early model, dating it to around 1840/41.

A solid walnut case with original patination.

As there is no song sheet I am not sure how many airs it plays but they are all beautifully crisp and clear and in tune. Doubtless a good musician would soon identify them.

Not a box that is found every day.
