Description

This is a beautiful early 20th century Chinese table casket or jewellery box with stunning dragon design dating from around 1920. The lidded box has a deeply cast Chinese dragon clutching the flaming pearl with brass highlights to the eyes, teeth horns and claws. It has very fine detail to the design throughout with stylised ocean waves to all four sides. The box is lined in sandalwood and is in excellent clean condition. This measures 23 cms long 13.5 cms deep by 9 cms high.
