Description

An early 19th Century shop-keepers tea cannister, of rectanguar domed form, with a circular lid. It is decorated with an oriental scene with a green ground. c.1820

26.00cm wide 40.00cm high 21.00cm deep (10.24 inches wide 15.75 inches high 8.27 inches deep)

Current Condition

original paint, with surface marks commensurate with age and use. Old solder repairs to seam of top and bottom.
