N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Ormolu Chain Fusee Clock to the 19th Century.
This beautiful antique clock has a fabulous rococo style ormolu case made of gilt bronze. The case has a wonderful hour glass shape with exquisitely detailed, scrolling design.
The base of the case is then as intricate as the body with a shaped, scrolling design. A truly beautiful example of the upmost quality and a very rare and hard to find design for a fusee time piece.

The dial is then gilt and set out in black, painted roman numerals with a thin ring of dots and dashes to the outside marking out the minutes. The centre of the dial then has a gilt, cast bronze design which is beautiful. Finally the dial has a wonderful patterned surround and is finished by two beautifully shaped hands.

The movement is then chain fusee and of the upmost quality. It is ticking away as it should and comes complete which its pendulum which can be fully regulated as well as its winding key. The movement also comes complete with its travel nut and is signed by the maker “Fisher Braithwaite & Jones LONDON” via a beautiful engraving showing the pieces maker.

A truly fantastic and unique piece of the highest quality that would look fantastic in any home or as part of a larger collection.
