Beautiful Cantilever Jewellery Box by John Pound & Co

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine quality leather cantilever jewellery box by John Pound & Co dating from the early 1900's. Having gilt brass fittings with an unusual locking mechanism to the handle, retaining the original key and beautiful silk velvet cover and lined in suede. Lovely original condition throughout.

John Pound & Co were established in 1823, by 1871 they operated 5 shops in London to include Regents St and Piccadilly. They produced luxury leather goods such as hat boxes, Jewellery cases and purses.
