Good 19th Century Russian Papier Mache Box

Description

Fine quality mid 19th century Russian papier mache box beautifully painted on the top of Troika. Rectangular shaped box with perfect working hinge. Red lacquer inside. Has had some very minor touching up but is basically in original condition. There is a SHAPIRO & Co. label inside which attributes the box to LUKITIN.
