Extremely Rare George III Architectural House Tea Caddy 1780

Description

A truly exceptional and very rare single tea caddy primarily made from burr yew with various inlaid woods such as mahogany, boxwood, ebony, tulipwood to create the window, door and the roof to form a stunning Georgian architectural house.??It’s a highly sought-after piece in a completely stunning condition and is a must have for any serious collector. The front middle window opens to reveal the escutcheon key section. As you open to roof section to reveal the interior you’re greeted by a burr yew lid which is banded in boxwood and ebony. The caddy comes with a fully functioning lock and key and dates to c.1780.
