M. C. Taylor has dated this Green Chinoiserie Longcase Clock to the 18th Century.
Also having silvered subsidiary seconds ring and lower calendar date aperture.
The pierced steel hands are of serpentine design.
Contained in a green lacquered, oak case with a flat top having superior artwork particularly to the full length break-arch trunk door.
Bush was apprenticed in 1720 and in the Clockmaker's Company 1729-1770.
This is a lovely clock, superb in appearance.
The price is for the clock in its present working condition. It would however benefit from an overhaul to the movement and restoration to the dial. Any restoration work required will be subject to a further cost and waiting time, which can be discussed upon enquiry.
