Antique Artists Paint Box

A late Victorian mahogany paint box. The interior has a mahogany tray with some of the different paints each housed in ceramic rectangular holders with the labels for each paint underneath.
 
The tray lifts lift outand underneath is the original ceramic mixing palette, stamped on the base in green James Newtman 24 Soho Square.
 
The box still retains its original paper trade label - prize colour box by Newman London.
 
On the outside of the box is an impressed stamp, department science prize. It has a working key.
 
It measures 23cm w x 10.5cm x 3.3cm h
