Regency Lacquered Chinoiserie Sewing Box, from the Qing Dynasty. Circa 1825.

19th century
Description

Regency, Chinese Export, in black & Gold with each side featuring a reserve with scholars on a garden terrace and auspicious zoomorphs accented with scrolling tendrils.

The interior fitted with compartments each with bone sewing accoutrements. Further lacquered garden scenes to top compartments and to interior of the drawer situated on the front.

The box raised on winged dragon feet.

All in superb condition.

37cm wide

26cm deep

16cm high
