Octagonal Burr Elm Tea Caddy C.1820

Description

A remarkable shaped octagonal tea caddy made from burr elm. Completely original with nice characterised patina surrounding the caddy and not over restored. It’s 8 sided and in a tent like form which is a shape you don’t tend to see much, so highly collectable and would enhance any type of collection. The top is banded in boxwood inlay. This caddy dates to Georgian 1820 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
