Description

A beautiful work box made from a mixture of woods and inlays. The main exterior wood is burr walnut which has been cross banded in brass, ebony inlay, mother of pearl and tulipwood. A very decorative box and completely original. The interior consists of the original working/sewing lift out tray which contains compartments and sewing reels etc. Underneath the tray is more storage. This work box dates to Victorian 1860 and comes with a working lock and key.
