Georgian Bombe Shaped Tea Chest

This is a lovely Georgian mahogany tea chest having the unusual and lovely bombe shape which is uncommon. The bombe shape tea chest dates from around the 1760s. One of the makers of this bombe shape tea chest is documented as Braithwaites of London, known for the good quality of their boxes.
 
It still retains it''s original brass swan neck handle.
 
Inside it still retains the red velvet lid lining. It would originally have been divided into three sections, now it has two sections.
 
Great as a jewellery, stationery box etc.
 
It measures 24cm w x 15cm h x 14cm d
