Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The interior has a lovely soft chocolate brown velvet lining with the dividers covered in a cognac coloured silk, minor wear to the silk on the high points, measured purely for accuracy. To the back of the interior compartment is a section fitted for rings, which would fit five or six rings.
The lid is released with the push button catch to the front covered over by the skin.
A top notch example in superb condition, measuring 6" x 4" x 1/12" high.
