A lovely quality and beautifully original Victorian leather writing slope. The slope is leather bound in tan leather which is quite an unusual colour these slopes are most often black. The interior is complete and original even down to the inkwell. The writing slope interior is fitted with blotting patches which seem to never have been used. The box is completely untouched it does have a few scuff marks but nothing more than would be expected. The box even retains a working key. A great example of the type and a great decorative box, usable for a variety of purposes. C.1890.
