Pair Georgian Dutch Brass Tobacco Boxes

Description

Good pair of late 18th / early 19th century Dutch brass tobacco boxes in the form of coffers or kists. Both are in very good condition and match perfectly except for one has the name on the front and the other is plain on the front. they stand on claw and ball feet and have side ring handles. Both have exactly the same engraved scene to the top of a horse and rider jumping over a stream in the country side. The long strap design hinges are a nice feature and the clasp to the front on both is in good order. Nice being a pair.
