Description

A fine quality brass inlaid burr walnut writing slope. Unlike lesser quality pieces, this is burr walnut all around including the back. The top has a brass vacant cartouche and inlaid with fine double brass line inlay with matching inlay and lock escutcheon to the front. Inside is veneered in coromandel, a beautiful dark blue leather with gilt and blind tooling, two inkwells and a pen tray. Beneath the writing boards are two concealed drawers.
