Antique English Brass Bound Rosewood Campaign / Military Style Box C.1850

Description

Whether you decide to use this wonderful antique box for jewellery, letters or to collect your desk top bits and pieces, it certainly is a joy to look at each day.

Made from exotic Rosewood, this campaign style box is brass bound around the curved edges, with a complimentary brass plaque to the lid, which could be engraved if desired and a matching brass escutcheon which houses the working key.

The interior has been beautifully re-lined in a fitting hand-marbled paper. The box has been recently professionally re-polished to gleam. Excellent condition, measuring 9" x 6 1/2" x 4 3/4" tall.
