Inlaid Burr Walnut Work Box 1870

Description

Here we have a lovely example of a fully fitted work box made primarily from burr walnut and various inlaid woods. It’s banded in tunbridge inlay through out with a mother of pearl inlay at the centre lid. It all in a great overall intact condition. The interior comprises of its original lift out tray which is completely original. Various compartments and divisions for storing all manner of objects. It comes with fully functioning lock and key and dates to the Victorian period 1870. Oval mirror to the inside lid.
