Victorian Vanity Box 1840

Description

A lovely example of a fully fitted vanity box made from rosewood. The exterior is inlaid with mother of pearl and pewter and overall it’s in a super original condition. As we work our way inside we are greeted by navy blue flush velvet in the inside lid and a fully fitted tray beneath. The tray comprises of various compartments and your vanity items including glass bottles and jars etc. Behind the lid is a reversible document sleeve and mirror. The tray lifts out to reveal more storage underneath. This box comes with a fully functioning lock and key and dates to early Victorian 1840.
