Large impressive early Victorian/Regency pollard oak (burr) tea caddy, circa 1835
Heavy free blown glass sugar or blending bowl and lift out hinged lidded canisters for green and black tea, with remnants of the original metal foil lining.
Plum velvet lined lid and mixing bowl cavity.
Ebony stringing and turned ebony feet.
Ebony ring handles, one ring replaced with darkened metal handle, looks fine.
In very good, sound, bright used condition with fantastic colour and burr to the pollard oak.
Some blistering of the original polished finish on one internal box.
Typical markings and anomalies to the burr veneer.
Strong tight brass hinges throughout, original lock, looks serviceable, but no key.
